Quote : BEYOUTIFUL

The quote “be-you-tiful” means being your own true self is beautiful. You don’t have to try to be someone you aren’t. Just being yourself is the real beauty.

I plan on delivering the message by placing a big portrait of myself in the poster as the main image. Using straight lines, I separated my image into fragments to look like a puzzle. Then to those sections I added images of the things which build and identifies who I truly am. I colored them according to the emotions I feel towards them according to color theory. To make contrast, I made my large portrait black & white, so only the fragments of images are colored. This symbolizes how those things gives me color (identity) and those are what makes me myself.

As for the text, I’m wrote be-you-tiful in a medium sized text, with emphasis on the word “you”. I manipulated the word “you” to create a hugging form with the hands forming hearts as a symbol of self-love. I kept “BE” & “TIFUL” uppercase to really differentiate them from the word “you”. I gave the text shadows to the text stands stronger.

It could be very hard to appreciate ourselves sometimes, especially with all our flaws and imperfections. So I want to use this poster as a reminder for people (also myself) to love themself by showcasing who I really am  and slowly learn to see the beauty inside of us.

TITLE: BEYOUTIFUL
Everybody is beautiful by being themselves. Everyone is different and unique, each has their own strengths and weaknesses which makes them special. We can be bold to show who we are. We can think, do, and feel, like how we truly are. Only then, we’ll be able to reveal and discover the beauty inside of us..
